General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all bookings and stays at DIE FRIEDA – Southern Styria. By booking, the guest acknowledges these GTC and the applicable house rules as binding.
2. Booking and conclusion of contract
The accommodation contract is concluded upon receipt of the booking confirmation via the respective booking portal. With this confirmation, the booking becomes binding for both parties.
3. Prices and payment terms
The prices displayed at the time of booking, as well as the payment and booking conditions of the respective booking portal, apply.
4. Cancellation
Changes or cancellations are subject exclusively to the cancellation conditions agreed upon at the time of booking with the respective booking portal.
5. Arrival and Departure
Earlier arrivals or later departures are only possible by prior arrangement and subject to availability.
6. Use of the accommodation
The apartment may only be used by the number of guests booked. Overnight stays by unregistered persons are not permitted.
The apartment is exclusively for private stays. Parties, events, or similar gatherings are not permitted.
Commercial use, especially for photo, film or advertising shoots as well as events, requires the prior written consent of the landlord.
7. Whirlpool
The whirlpool must only be used in accordance with the usage and safety instructions provided in the accommodation.
The use of bath additives, oils, bubble baths, salts or other additives is not permitted.
Damage or soiling resulting from improper use, incorrect operation or use beyond normal and intended use, as well as any resulting costs for cleaning, maintenance or repair, shall be borne by the guest.
8. Key
The keys provided must be kept carefully. In the event of a lost key or if the locking system needs to be replaced for security reasons, the guest is liable for the resulting costs.
9. Damages and liability of the guest
The guest is liable for all damages caused culpably during their stay that go beyond normal wear and tear.
Any defects or damage discovered upon arrival must be reported immediately. If no timely report is made, the accommodation will be considered to have been accepted in good order.
Costs for necessary special cleaning, especially due to unauthorized smoking, bringing pets or improper soiling, will be charged separately to the guest.
10. Landlord's Liability
The landlord is liable in accordance with statutory provisions. Liability for valuables, personal belongings, or vehicles brought onto the premises exists only to the extent provided by law.
11. Data Protection
Personal data is processed exclusively in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. Further information can be found in our privacy policy.
11. Guest cancellation, withdrawal
1. The hotel grants the guest the right to cancel at any time. The following provisions apply:
2. In the event of a guest's cancellation of the booking, the hotel is entitled to reasonable compensation.
3. Should anything interfere with your holiday with us, please inform us as soon as possible.
We reserve the right to the following cancellation policy:
- Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival
- Within the last 14 days – 100% of the total price

We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance through European Travel Insurance.
13. Final Provisions
Austrian law applies.
Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be wholly or partially invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The statutory regulations shall apply in its place.
Unless otherwise stipulated in these terms and conditions, the General Terms and Conditions for the Hotel Industry (AGBH 2006) in their currently valid version shall apply in addition.
